Reviewed

For a trial run, a student at a local college was asked to try out the maid service for a month and here is what she had to say:

"I am a nursing student so I am required to take summer classes at my college so it was much easier for me to live on campus during the summer than commuting back and forth. Over the summer I was approached by someone working for the College Maid Easy company and they asked me to hire them to see how well they actually worked. I agreed and at the time I had a roommate so I had to get her to agree too, but that wasn't too hard. We only had a small dorm room with one big room and a bathroom. So we paid the maid service $30 to clean our room once a week for the month. At first I thought $30 was a lot just to have my room cleaned four times but between the two of us, $15 isn't really that bad. At the end of the month we had to raid the service to see if people would actually pay for it and if it was helpful. Like I said, at first I was a bit skeptical but in the end it really helped us out! We didn't have to worry about the mess in our room so we had more time to study (and of course go to an occasional party or two). It really wasn't too much money either. I thought it was going to be a lot more money than $30 or they were going to do a bad job at cleaning. But I was wrong! They did a great job and I don't even mind paying for a cleaning service! My parents are even impressed when they come to visit!

College Budget

College students look for deal when they go shopping for anything because a lot of them lack the funds to get very expensive things. They also lack the time or motivation to clean their rooms so they may want to hire someone to clean for them. There is a new maid service where you pay $30-$45 a month to have your room cleaned. This sounds somewhat like a reasonable price because it is similar in cost to a data plan for a cellphone. This seems to be fitting the college budget because you could save $7-$8 a week and that could pay for your cleaning bill for the month. That is also just if you have a single room, think of how much you would save if you have roommates!

Hey College Kids!

Have you ever wanted to find someone to clean your form room for you? I bet you would want them to do it for free too huh? Unfortunately I don't know many people who would do that.. However, there could possibly be a company they would come in and cleaned your room for you for a reasonable price! They probably wouldn't even charge you extra for cleaning supplies like some other companies. If you are interested you should probably check out something like a college maid...

KD's Klean Ups

KD's Klean Ups is a cleaning service around the Pittsburgh area. They changed their business in 2008 from Maid With Care to KD's Klean Ups to "cut costs" it make it less expensive for the customers. But is this really true? On their website they do not have prices list, you have to get in touch with them in order to get further information. Would you want to use a site that doesn't advertise its prices?

Dorm Mom

Have you ever thought to get a maid for your dorm room? Dorm Mom offers some of these services. They do anything from cleaning to shopping for students in a dorm. The prices for Dorm Mom vary depending on which school you go to, what you want them to do, and what kind of room you have. For example, if you have a apartment like room with two bedrooms and a bathroom at La Roche College, it will cost you $130.94. The prices also very depending on if you have your own vacuum cleaner. Now does that really sound like a reasonable amount of money for a college student to be spending on a cleaning service?

Dormaid

Dorm room maid services already exist such as Dormaid but are you really getting what you deserve out of them? To get your dorm cleaned just one time you would have to pay $90. Do college students really have $90 to spend on a maid? No, they barely have money for gas (especially with these gas prices)! Yes they do give you deals like if pay for them to clean your dorm five times it would only be $85 per time they came. At that rate I'm sure the students would just give up a little time on their weekends to clean or just not clean at all! College is a very busy time and students don't always have time to clean but they also don't have that much money to pay someone to clean for them.
